This exceptional leather is made using centuries-old Tuscan tanning traditions that rely on natural tannins extracted from tree bark rather than modern chrome tanning. Badalassi Carlo is a member of the Pelle Conciata al Vegetale in Toscana Consortium, an organization dedicated to preserving authentic vegetable tanning methods and the highest standards of Italian craftsmanship.

Minerva’s signature “vacchetta” feel comes from a proprietary blend of natural oils and waxes worked deep into the leather during the tanning process. This gives it a luxurious, buttery hand while maintaining enough structure and durability for heirloom-quality everyday carry.
